How much RAM does Medieval MC need?
8 GB is the starting estimate for Medieval MC's 350+ mods. Use 12 GB once several players explore, build colonies, or fight bosses at the same time. You can change plans as your world grows.
Which version will we play?
Your server comes with Medieval MC v39 for Minecraft 1.20.1, using Forge. Everyone joining should install that same Medieval MC release in their launcher. This is MMC4 [FORGE]. MMC5 [NeoForge], MMC3 [Fabric], and MMC2 [Fabric] are different packs and can’t join. Install MMC4 from CurseForge, because the Modrinth listing stopped at v30.
Do I need to download the Medieval MC server files?
No. CurseForge publishes MMC4 v39 Server Pack for this exact release. We install everything the server needs after checkout, so there is nothing to upload.
Can Bedrock players join a Medieval MC server?
No. Medieval MC is a Java Edition modpack. Every player needs Minecraft: Java Edition on a computer, with the same pack installed. Bedrock, console, and phone players can’t join.
How long does setup take?
Allow several minutes for the pack to download and your world to start. You can follow progress in your dashboard. If it gets stuck, open a support ticket and we’ll help.
Can you move our existing world?
Yes. Send us a backup and tell us which pack version you’re playing. We’ll help move your world and settings and check that the server starts. Keep your original backup until you’ve joined successfully. We can’t repair corrupted saves or develop custom mods.

If you are unhappy with a new purchase, contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. Email support@berrybyte.net or open a billing ticket in your dashboard.
