How many players can join a Dragonwilds server?
Hosting from inside the game only fits 4 people. A dedicated server fits 6, so a group of five or six needs one of these to play together.
Can PS5, Xbox or Switch 2 players join a dedicated server?
Yes. Dragonwilds 1.0 has crossplay across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. Friends on those platforms join the same way as PC: Worlds, Public, then search the exact world name. A console cannot host a dedicated server, so a rented world is how a mixed group stays online.
Do I need to own Dragonwilds to run a server?
You need your own copy of the game to play. The server itself is included with your plan.
Do I need to set anything up after I buy?
You'll copy your Player ID from the in-game Settings screen and pick a name for the world. That's it.
Can I move my existing solo world to a server?
Yes. We can move it for you, or you can upload the save yourself. Your progress comes with you either way.
Is Dragonwilds included with Game Pass and PlayStation Plus?
Yes. Dragonwilds 1.0 launches on September 15, 2026 with Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
Do Dragonwilds mods work on a dedicated server?
Community mods are allowed, and you have full file access. How they work with friends on other platforms is still being tested.

How fast is setup?
Your server goes live the moment you check out. Most players are online within a minute.
Do I need any technical knowledge?
Everything runs from a simple control panel. You can start your server, install mods, and change settings in a few clicks.
Can I switch games later?
Each server runs one game. Create a new server for a different title, and keep the old world as a Server Save if you want to return to it.
