Build a Rust community worth coming back to.

From a private friends wipe to a public community, keep your map, plugins and server rules in your hands.

Vanilla, Oxide or Carbon

Choose your framework in the selector. Add compatible plugins through your server files, set gather rates and bring in the admin tools your community uses.

Plan for your map and your players

Plans include 12–24 GB RAM. Bigger maps, more entities and heavier plugin stacks need more headroom; ask us about your setup before choosing a large player limit.

Be ready for wipe day

Manage your map seed, world size and updates from the dashboard. Keep backups before a wipe and use the guide to decide which files to preserve.

Get ready for your next wipe.

Choose a framework, prepare your world and give your community one address to return to.

  1. Join your new server

Copy the game address from Overview and use client.connect in Rust’s F1 console. The first start can take longer while the map generates.

    Follow the connection guide
  2. Set the rules

Choose a map seed and size, set admin access and add your compatible plugins. Make a backup before a wipe or framework change.

    Get setup help
  3. Keep a way back

Automatic backups are included. Make an extra copy before an update, a new mod or a world transfer, then restore it from your dashboard if you need to.

How much does Rust server hosting cost?

Rust server hosting starts at $14.95 USD per month. Your price depends on the player slots you choose. Setup help and automatic backups are included. You can see each plan’s monthly price in the selector above.

Which Rust plan should I buy?

Start with 50 slots and 12 GB RAM for a smaller community. The 100, 150 and 200-slot plans include 16, 20 and 24 GB respectively. Your map size, entities, plugins and active players determine the resources you need; a slot limit is not a performance guarantee.

How much RAM does a Rust server need?

Facepunch’s dedicated-server guidance asks for at least 12 GB of free RAM. Our entry plan includes 12 GB, with larger options for demanding maps and plugins. Very large maps can need more than the published plans; talk to us first.

Do you support Oxide, uMod and Carbon plugins?

Yes. Choose Vanilla, Oxide / uMod or Carbon when configuring your server. Upload compatible plugins using Files or SFTP, then follow the framework’s reload or restart instructions.

Can I use RCON, Rust+ and custom maps?

Yes. RCON and the Rust+ companion port are included, and you can configure a custom map. Keep the RCON password private and share only the game address with players.

When do I wipe my Rust server?

Facepunch requires a monthly force wipe. You can also run your own more frequent map wipes. Back up first and follow /wiki/games/rust/wipe-and-update to preserve the files you want to keep.

What if the server isn’t right for me?

New purchases include a 7-day money-back guarantee. Request a refund through support within 7 days of purchase. See /terms#refunds for the full policy. You can also cancel future renewals from your dashboard.
