Billing & payments
Each berrybyte server has its own subscription and billing cycle. Manage plans, payment methods, invoices, account balance, cancellations, and failed payments under Account → Billing.
Every server has its own subscription on the billing cycle selected at checkout: monthly, every three months, every six months, or yearly. Yearly billing is 2 months free — you pay ten months and get twelve. Payments run through Stripe, and berrybyte never stores your card number. New to how berrybyte servers work? Managing billing
Open Account → Billing in the dashboard, or go directly to app.berrybyte.net/account/billing. The page includes:
- Plans for renewals, plan changes, cancellations, reactivation, and managing a free trial
- Payment Methods for cards and other Stripe payment methods
- Payment History and Invoices, including Stripe-hosted invoice links
- Credit balance and Balance History for account funds and adjustments

Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrades happen right away. You pay the difference between the plans for the days left in the current cycle, and the server gets the new plan size without resetting your game files. If that difference needs payment now, the dashboard guides you through confirmation.
Downgrades also apply when confirmed, but the server must be offline first. Stop it, return to Account → Billing → Plans, and choose Change plan. Your worlds and files remain in place.
Canceling does not stop a paid server immediately. It schedules cancellation for the end of the current paid period. Use Resume on the plan card to undo a scheduled cancellation before then.
Failed payments
A failed renewal doesn't kill your server on the spot. Here's the sequence:
You get an email
It links straight to the payment page so you can update your card or retry.
48-hour online grace
The server remains online for 48 hours from the first failed payment while Stripe retries and you update the payment method.
Suspension
If the invoice is still unpaid after 48 hours, the server is suspended. Its files are retained during this stage.

Deletion after five suspended days
Five days after suspension, the server and its data are deleted. Fix the invoice before this deadline.
Something looks wrong?
Open Support → Help Center → Open a Ticket and choose Billing. Pick the payment, invoice, subscription, or payment method when the wizard offers it so staff see the same numbers you do. Screenshots help for receipt or Stripe errors.
See Getting support for the full ticket flow. Use support@berrybyte.net only if you cannot sign into the dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
When am I charged?
Paid service starts at checkout and renews at the end of the Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annually, or Yearly cycle you selected. The next renewal date appears on the plan card under Account → Billing.
What happens if my payment fails?
You receive an email and Stripe retries the payment. The server stays online for 48 hours from the first failed payment, is then suspended if the invoice remains unpaid, and is deleted five days after suspension.
Do upgrades change my renewal date?
An upgrade that stays on the same billing period keeps your existing renewal date and only charges the difference for the days left. Switching to a different billing period can move the renewal date.
