Palworld update history and patch notes
Complete Palworld version history from early access v0.1.2.0 through 1.0.5, including Bellanoir, Sakurajima, Feybreak, Crossplay, Tides of Terraria, Home Sweet Home, and the July 2026 1.0 release.
Palworld left early access as 1.0.0 on July 10, 2026. The patches below cover every PC/Steam version from the January 19, 2024 launch through 1.0.5 on September 15, 2026.
For a live server, the date is less important than the build. Compare the version on the player's title screen with the dedicated-server startup log before troubleshooting anything else.
Official first-party notes live in Pocketpair's Steam announcements. The Palworld Wiki patch list catalogs each version page.
The table uses commonly published PC/Steam labels. Xbox, PlayStation, and other platform builds sometimes landed later or used a different build number. A server and client still need compatible live builds even when the update names match.

Eight of those versions also have standalone berrybyte blog posts, linked below.
v0.1.2.0 — Early Access, January 19
Palworld launched on Steam as v0.1.2.0. Xbox received a parallel v0.1.0.0 build a few days later, which is why early platform labels do not always match.
v0.1.3.0 — January 25
The first post-launch patch added cheat and exploit countermeasures, corrected text, and fixed a login loading-screen hang plus a world-date display reset.
v0.1.4.0 — January 31
It fixed crashes, including a guild save problem associated with very large captured-Pal counts. It also addressed low-health capture behavior, Pals becoming trapped in walls, duplicate damage, overloaded-player movement, mount cameras, base work assignments, fire spread, and input configuration.
v0.1.5.0 — February 27
Important changes included:
- save-data backups on the world-selection screen,
- fully supported keyboard configuration,
- removing offline guild members,
- improvements to Pal work and base pathing,
- relaxed building restrictions,
- server-name search, and
- an online-player display for dedicated servers.
v0.1.5.1 followed two days later as a hotfix.
v0.2.0.6 — Bellanoir, April 4
It introduced the Bellanoir raid, new Pal and training items, an electric egg incubator, ore mining sites, work assignments through the monitoring stand, and a large set of balance and quality-of-life changes.
A version mismatch after any content update is a connection problem, not a reason to delete the world. Update the client and server first.
v0.2.1.0 through v0.2.4.0
The Bellanoir follow-ups landed through May 14. v0.2.4.0 raised Alpha Pal HP, gave breeding eggs a small Alpha chance, reduced boss damage reduction, and changed death-drop pickup and despawn timers so dropped items and Pals became public after 24 hours and disappeared after 48.
v0.3.1 — Sakurajima, June 27
Sakurajima launched as v0.3.1. The release added:
- Sakurajima Island and new Pals,
- the Oil Rig stronghold and crude oil,
- the PvP Arena,
- new raids, items, buildings, and progression,
- dedicated servers for Xbox players, and
- broader server and community features.
Xbox and PlayStation players now find compatible dedicated servers through
Community Servers. Self-hosters need a unique server name, crossplay
platforms enabled, and the -publiclobby launch flag.
v0.3.2 — June 28
The immediate Sakurajima hotfix was v0.3.2. It restored a player to the correct state after restarting while stuck in the Arena and reverted asset files that had been split unintentionally.
v0.3.4 — July 29
This patch added a setting for meteorite and supply-drop intervals. It also adjusted summoned-Pal durability, large-generator output, coal-mine requirements, food production and prices, Oil Rig difficulty, and Pal pathfinding around bases.
v0.3.5 — August 7
The v0.3.5 quality-of-life patch reduced noisy stuck-Pal alerts, limited those alerts to nearby bases, and allowed some stuck working Pals to complete tasks remotely. It also fixed underwater pillar placement and multiplayer desynchronization for Oil Rig turrets.
v0.3.6.0 through v0.3.12.0
The rest of the Sakurajima line was mostly stability work. v0.3.10.0 on October 30 added four Halloween skins, raised the chat character limit, and fixed a dedicated-server memory leak plus several critical crashes.
v0.4.11 — Feybreak, December 23
Feybreak shipped as v0.4.11 with:
- the large Feybreak island,
- Predator Pals and bounty targets,
- expeditions and Pal research,
- a level cap increase to 60,
- Hardcore and Random Pal modes,
- the Xenolord raid and an Attack Chopper,
- new weapons, buildings, items, and Pal skills, and
- the Meowmere weapon from the Terraria collaboration.
v0.4.12.0 followed on December 26. v0.4.13.0 on January 15, 2025 rebalanced Feybreak loot and fixed dedicated-server Pals that stopped moving. v0.4.14.0 added Spring Festival skins. v0.4.15.0 reworked Random Pal mode so wild Pal levels stay regional while species stay random, and v0.4.15.66880 fixed dedicated-server fast travel.
v0.5.0 — Crossplay, March 19, 2025
The Crossplay update made Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and other platforms play together on the same world. It also added:
- the Global Palbox for moving Pals between worlds,
- Dimensional Pal Storage,
- cosmetic armour at the Antique Dresser,
- Photo Mode,
- the Drafting Table for combining schematics, and
- dedicated servers for Mac.
v0.5.1.0 through v0.5.5.0 then fixed Dimensional Pal Storage disappearances, console autosave, and dedicated-server issues.
v0.6.0 — Tides of Terraria, June 25, 2025
Tides of Terraria was the Terraria crossover. It added the Terraria Dungeon, Terraria weapons and armour, the Moon Lord raid, fishing and salvage, new islands, a mission system, Pal Trust, PS5 dedicated servers, and a level-cap increase to 65.
Follow-ups in this line include v0.6.2 (dimensional storage and graphics), v0.6.4 (Moon Lord [Master]), v0.6.7 (dungeon-entry fix), and v0.6.8 (Halloween Zoe costume and Depresso suit).
v0.7.0 — Home Sweet Home, December 17, 2025
Home Sweet Home added the ULTRAKILL crossover, triangular building pieces, building colour, a new raid battlefield, melee combos, experimental PvP, and Steam Workshop on PC. Pocketpair's official dedicated-server mod loader arrived later with 1.0 and remains Windows-only.
v0.7.1, v0.7.2, and v0.7.3 were balance and bug-fix patches through April 6, 2026.
v1.0.0 — Official release, July 10, 2026
Palworld 1.0 left early access. The Steam changelog is long; the dedicated server changes that matter most are:
- Sunreach and the World Tree,
- 72 new Pals, plus Awakening and Mutation,
- a rewritten raid system, partner-skill work, and combat motion rework,
- new equipment, including the Wing Pack and Plasma Multicutter,
- a raised level cap and rebalanced habitats, and
- official Windows dedicated-server mod loading through Workshop packages.
After 1.0, treat every plugin and .pak as untrusted until its page names the
live build. See best Palworld server mods.
v1.0.1 through v1.0.5
The first 1.0 patches were mostly stability work:
- v1.0.1 (July 15) and v1.0.2 (July 29) were bug-fix releases.
- v1.0.2.1 (July 30) continued that work and included mod-support fixes.
- v1.0.3 (August 12) mixed balance adjustments with bug fixes.
- v1.0.4 (September 7) added the "Beyond Dimensions" and "From the Far Side of the Moon" missions, fishing and building tweaks, Palpedia search, a per-player building-limit server setting, and dedicated-server fixes. Version-mismatch errors now show the target build.
- v1.0.5 (September 15) fixed low-resolution terrain and building textures for some players and map-icon filters that turned off after respawn.
